Experience Malbun & surrounding.

Malbun is situated on 1'600 meters above sealevel and ist the local recreation area of Liechtenstein.

​

During summer season the idyllic mountain village Malbun is an ideal starting point for hikings and offers with several restaurants a range of culinary art, lets kids enjoy freedom & nature and adults switching off from stressful everyday life.

In winter it is the perfect ski area for families - nobody gets "lost" ;-) - but also for experienced winter sports enthusiasts who want to enjoy the beautiful nature and the easy to challenging slopes.

Falconry Galina

​

Eagle, falcon, Harris Haw, eagle owls & Co. - here you can experience these majestic animals closer than almost anywhere else. Birds of prey flight show, an worldwide unique eagle or hawk experience walk and a private experience of falconry.

And otherwise?

 

Adventure playground, explorers' trail, children's race track, trampoline, damming in the Steger Gänglesee, guided mountain tours, chairlift on Sareis with a fantastic view, fishing in the Steger reservoir or tasting fresh cheese & yoghurt on Alp Pradamee.

Tobogganing & winter hikes

 

We have the small tobogganing hills up to the tobogganing speed highlight: at 3:45 p.m., take the lift into the Täli and jet down on the ski slope. Wow!

 

And our "slow" highlight: take a walk on the Sassweg to the hunting  lodge - a feeling like in the vast expanse of Canada: freedom.

Ski paradise for large & small

 

Malbun is a family ski area. Here "every" child learns to ski - right up to the World Cup winner ;-). But even experienced skiers and snowboarders can have fun in Malbun.

 

Tip: Book the Hotel Galina in the middle of the village and at the same time go straight from the ski room to the slopes - just great.

Enjoy hiking & nature

 

Malbun is the perfect starting point to tackle the more than 400 km of hiking trails in Liechtenstein. Hiking enthusiasts will get their money's worth as well as those who want to explore the limits.

 

Schönberg, Pfälzerhüttte, Fürstin-Gina-Weg, Galinakopf, Alp Guschg, ...

High rope park or climbing

 

In the rope park in the forest , skill and concentration are required. Both children and adults get their money's worth.

 

Those who have mastered climbing will find their challenge in the climbing garden (level of difficulty 4-6) between Pfälzerhütte and Naafkopf (own equipment required).

Ice skating & snowshoeing

 

Finally glide elegantly over the ice again or do you prefer ice stock sport? The ice rink is only a 2-minute walk from the Galina.

 

From the Galina you can also put on snowshoes that can be borrowed from the sports shop and hike in the direction of Hahnenspiel or Schönberg - pure active relaxation.

Cross-country skiing & sledding

 

This is in the jetty
Cross-country skiing - Mecca of Liechtenstein. Take it sporty or leisurely on the 15km of snow-sure trails and enjoy the idyll of the Valüna Valley.

 

Also in the jetty is
Alp Sücka , where after a hearty fondue you can sled back down the illuminated route
